The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Busan Metropolitan City announced the selection of 7,318 households in Hwamyeong and Haeundae districts for urban renewal.
This is the first case of urban renewal in local areas following the selection of 37,000 households in five first-phase new towns last year.
The ministry plans to establish the Busan Future City Support Center in the first half of next year and actively support the designation of special maintenance zones and other project procedures.

Korea and China agreed to discuss ways to expand service trade based on the MOU signed at the APEC summit.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced plans to start construction of over 50,000 homes in public housing sites in the Seoul metropolitan area next year and begin occupancy in the third new city.
Additionally, to revitalize local areas, the ministry will announce a second relocation plan for public institutions and expand local transportation infrastructure such as roads, railways, and airports to realize the ‘5 Mega Regions and 3 Special Zones’.
The ministry also plans to enhance housing welfare by expanding public rental housing for various income groups and providing tailored support for youth, newlyweds, families with children, and the elderly.

Following President Lee Jae-myung’s directive, the government has repatriated 107 Korean suspects involved in Cambodia scam crimes.
The government established a close cooperation system with Cambodia through diplomatic efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Intelligence Service, and the police.
Reports of Korean nationals being detained or missing in Cambodia dropped significantly from 93 in October to 17 in November.
