The Fair Trade Commission decided to impose corrective orders and fines totaling 4.35 billion KRW on eight companies for collusion in bidding for organic coagulants and to prosecute one company.
Organic coagulants are polymers used in water purification, available in powder and liquid forms.
SNF Korea and Kolon Life Science were producing powder-type organic coagulants and agreed on the winning bidder and bidding prices for each tender.
