[2025-12-13]Korea Forest Service to Conduct Pine Wilt Disease Prevention Injection in Bonghwa

The Korea Forest Service’s Yeongju National Forest Management Office announced a pine wilt disease prevention injection project for 81.3 hectares of national forest in Bonghwa.
This year, 186 trees in Bonghwa were infected with pine wilt disease, a 166% increase from last year.
The project aims to prevent the spread of the disease in important pine forest areas and protect the Geumgang pine forest in Uljin.

[2025-12-13]Criminal Procedure Act Amendment Introducing Electronic Evidence Preservation Passed

The amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act, which introduces a system for requesting the preservation of electronic evidence to prevent its destruction or alteration, has passed the National Assembly.
This amendment establishes a foundation for the swift acquisition of evidence in cybercrimes such as digital sex crimes.
It also completes the legislative implementation for joining the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.
