South Korea intellectual property policy

South Korea has launched its 4th National Intellectual Property Basic Plan to strengthen IP-driven growth.
The policy introduces robust protection, startup support, and AI-focused education for the IP sector.
The plan was discussed and approved at the 39th National Intellectual Property Committee meeting on March 20, 2026.
