The Ministry of Employment and Labor has issued new guidelines to eliminate unpaid labor and prevent wage abuse.
Employers must now ensure that actual working hours are accurately compensated, even under fixed overtime agreements.
The guidelines took effect on June 9, 2024, with further legislative changes pending in the National Assembly.
