[2026-03-11]South Korea Expands Penalties for Fraudulent National Subsidy Claims and Reporting Rewards
South Korea is intensifying measures to prevent fraudulent claims on national subsidies.
Penalties for violations will rise from up to 5 times to 8 times the fraudulent amount, and reporting rewards will increase to 30%.
Implementation began following a June 10, 2024 ministerial meeting, with expanded inspections and system upgrades underway.
