[2026-03-31]Expansion of Korea’s Rare Disease Centers Enhances Regional Healthcare Access
South Korea has expanded its network of rare disease specialist institutions to address regional healthcare gaps.
The addition of centers in Gwangju and Ulsan increases nationwide coverage to 19 facilities.
This change was implemented in March 2024 and aims for balanced access by 2027.
