[2026-02-22]South Korea Strengthens FMD and ASF Response: Emergency Measures for Livestock Farms

South Korea has implemented emergency measures to control recent outbreaks of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and African Swine Fever (ASF).
The government expanded movement restrictions, intensified vaccination, and increased farm inspections to prevent further spread.
These actions began in February 2024 following confirmed cases in Goyang and Cheorwon, with ongoing nationwide enforcement.
