The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and TYM held a donation ceremony for advanced tractors for 16 young farmers in Iksan. This donation ceremony marks the first public-private partnership to help young farmers stabilize their farming operations, carrying significant symbolic value. Out of 300 applicants, 16 young farmers were selected through a 19:1 competition for the donation.
The Korea Customs Service, Incheon International Airport Corporation, and Korea Aerospace Industries Association have signed an agreement to dominate the aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) market. Through the agreement, the three organizations will collaborate on regulatory innovation, promotion, and security management to boost the MRO industry. The global MRO market is expected to expand from 144 trillion won in 2024 to 172 trillion won in 2034, and related facilities are being gradually established at Incheon International Airport.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy held a report meeting on the vision and strategy for K-semiconductors in the AI era. Key strategies include the creation of the world’s largest semiconductor cluster and concentrated investment in NPU development. A project for the technological independence of defense semiconductors will also be launched.
