A delegation of Mongolian next-generation leaders from foreign affairs, politics, and media visited Korea at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both sides exchanged views on the role of youth in developing future-oriented relations between Korea and Mongolia.
Military clashes between Thailand and Cambodia have reoccurred at the border, prompting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to issue level 3 travel advisories (recommendation to leave) for the area. The special travel advisory for areas within 50km of the Thailand-Cambodia border has been upgraded to level 3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to monitor the situation in Thailand and Cambodia and assess the need for additional travel advisory adjustments.
The Personal Information Protection Commission examined Coupang’s handling of personal data and demanded improvements in terms of service and membership withdrawal procedures. Coupang’s exemption clauses and complicated withdrawal procedures were found to potentially violate the protection law. The PIPC has requested Coupang to submit the results of these actions within 7 days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a launch ceremony for the advisory committee on diplomatic AI, chaired by Minister Cho Hyun.
