[2025-12-14]Rural Development Administration Wins Prime Minister’s Award for 5 Consecutive Years

The Rural Development Administration (RDA), led by Director Lee Seung-don, announced on December 11 that it received the Prime Minister’s Commendation in the administrative management capacity category of the 2024 Government Work Evaluation at the ‘2025 Government Organization Development Merit Award Ceremony’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. With this award, the RDA has been honored as an excellent institution for five consecutive years in evaluations of 47 central administrative agencies.

The administrative management capacity evaluation is one of the self-assessment categories of government work for central administrative agencies. It is conducted based on three evaluation indicators—organization, personnel, and informatization—jointly prepared by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Personnel Management. Each agency self-assesses its performance, which is then meticulously reviewed by external experts and relevant ministries.

In this evaluation, the RDA received high scores across all four inspection indicators: the thoroughness of self-assessment operations, the appropriateness of evaluation content, the excellence of best practices, and the adequacy of feedback on evaluation results. The systematic inspection of evaluation indicators and the direct involvement of the agency head in strengthening administrative capabilities contributed to the high evaluation.

Director Lee Seung-don stated that the result of being selected as an excellent institution for five consecutive years is an achievement made possible by the efforts of the staff who have practiced efficient agency management and continuous organizational innovation. He also mentioned that the RDA will continue to promote administrative innovation at a rapid pace based on a flexible and efficient organizational culture to improve the quality of life for the public.
