The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced that it will hold the ‘2025 Agricultural Food and Technology Exhibition’ at aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul, from December 10 to 11. This year’s exhibition is themed ‘Future Agriculture, Opening Tomorrow’, showcasing research achievements and innovative technologies in six fields including AI agricultural innovation, alternative foods, reverse aging, and digital breeding.
The exhibition has been held biennially since 2004, marking its 11th event this year. Over 110 institutions are participating, and leading companies that won the CES Innovation Awards can have their achievements confirmed in advance. Various accompanying programs such as the ‘Vertical Farm Technology Development Trends and Future Strategies’ forum and consulting for overseas expansion and commercialization are also prepared.
Keynote speeches by UNIST’s guest professor Lee Sedol will be featured, discussing the potential of AI-driven agricultural innovation. Additionally, the opening ceremony will include the 28th Agricultural Food and Technology Awards, honoring individuals and researchers who have contributed to agricultural development. This year’s industrial accolades were given to Yun Jwa-moon of Shellpasspace and Park Jong-bin of Daemyung Hightech.
Park Jung-hoon, Head of the Food Policy Office, expressed hopes that the event will provide valuable insights on applying advanced technologies in the field of agriculture. He emphasized the ministry’s support for fostering agricultural food industry as a future growth sector through convergence with advanced fields such as AI and robotics.
