The Uljin National Forest Management Office conducted joint wildfire response training to strengthen proactive response systems through cooperation with related agencies. The training involved around 30 participants and was held in Uljin’s Geunnam-myeon, simulating actual wildfire situations. The head of the Uljin National Forest Management Office emphasized the importance of repeated drills and cooperation between agencies and called for public interest.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency hosted an evaluation meeting on the surveillance of infectious disease vectors and Vibrio bacteria in Busan. The meeting shared results from mosquito collections at airports and ports, and Vibrio bacteria surveillance in marine environments. This year’s surveillance extended the monitoring period and collection points, finding no pathogens in mosquitoes but isolating Vibrio bacteria pathogens at a rate of 25.5%.

Gwang-Seok Lee, Director of International Policy at the Ministry of Defense, protested to the Chinese and Russian defense attachés in response to the entry of Chinese and Russian military aircraft into the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ). Our military will actively respond to foreign aircraft activities in the KADIZ while adhering to international law. The protests were made this morning regarding the aircraft’s entry which occurred yesterday.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced the 2025 Agricultural Science and Technology Expo to be held from December 10 to 11 at aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul. This year’s expo, themed ‘Opening Tomorrow: Future Agriculture,’ will feature innovative technologies and exhibits from over 110 institutions across six fields including AI agricultural innovation and alternative foods. It includes a keynote speech by Lee Sedol, a guest professor at UNIST, a future growth forum, and various other programs.
