The first G-KIC conference was held in Silicon Valley, USA, on December 12.
The conference focused on strengthening the global network through collaboration and connection between overseas centers under the Ministry of Science and ICT.
It also aimed to enhance local networks to attract and bring back outstanding overseas researchers to Korea.
The Personal Information Protection Commission has decided to issue warnings to four personal information processors for inadequate privacy policy disclosures.
These processors were found to have omitted or inadequately disclosed mandatory items and have since corrected the violations.
The commission will continue to guide on best practices and precautions for establishing and disclosing privacy policies.
