Starting next year, the cost reduction period for preemie outpatient care will be extended to a maximum of 5 years and 4 months, and the cap on health insurance fraud reporting rewards will be increased to 3 billion KRW.
The amendment aims to alleviate the medical expenses for preemies, prevent health insurance financial losses, and strengthen post-health checkup management to enhance public benefits.
The health insurance premium rate adjustment will be applied from January 1 next year, with the rates for workplace and regional subscribers adjusted from 7.09% to 7.19%.
