A government delegation led by former Speaker Kim Jin-pyo attended the International Year of Peace and Trust Forum in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The forum was held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s recognition of permanent neutrality, with representatives from various countries and international organizations in attendance.
Kim Jin-pyo met with Turkmenistan’s supreme leader to discuss cooperation measures between the two countries.

In 2024, the number of newlywed couples decreased by 2.3% to 952,000.
Among first-time newlyweds, the proportion with children dropped to 51.2%, while the dual-income rate rose to 59.7%.
The main type of residence for first-time newlyweds was apartments (77.0%), up by 2.5% from the previous year.

The first G-KIC conference was held in Silicon Valley, USA, on December 12.
The conference focused on strengthening the global network through collaboration and connection between overseas centers under the Ministry of Science and ICT.
It also aimed to enhance local networks to attract and bring back outstanding overseas researchers to Korea.

The Personal Information Protection Commission has decided to issue warnings to four personal information processors for inadequate privacy policy disclosures.
These processors were found to have omitted or inadequately disclosed mandatory items and have since corrected the violations.
The commission will continue to guide on best practices and precautions for establishing and disclosing privacy policies.

The Fair Trade Commission, along with the Korea Consumer Agency, held the 2025 Consumer-Centered Management certification ceremony.
The event also included a government award ceremony for outstanding certified companies of 2025.
The FTC and the Korea Consumer Agency will continue to collaborate to promote consumer-centered management.

The list of non-compliant donation recipients, tax evaders, overseas account non-reporters, and invoice issuance violators for 2025 has been released.
