Wando County, Gongju City, Dalseo District, Gumi City, and Tongyeong City were awarded for their outstanding projects. The awards include discussions on the spread of excellent projects and the development direction of the smart village business. The smart village dissemination and expansion project will be actively pursued in the future.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and TYM held a donation ceremony for advanced tractors for 16 young farmers in Iksan. This donation ceremony marks the first public-private partnership to help young farmers stabilize their farming operations, carrying significant symbolic value. Out of 300 applicants, 16 young farmers were selected through a 19:1 competition for the donation.

The Korea Customs Service, Incheon International Airport Corporation, and Korea Aerospace Industries Association have signed an agreement to dominate the aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) market. Through the agreement, the three organizations will collaborate on regulatory innovation, promotion, and security management to boost the MRO industry. The global MRO market is expected to expand from 144 trillion won in 2024 to 172 trillion won in 2034, and related facilities are being gradually established at Incheon International Airport.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy held a report meeting on the vision and strategy for K-semiconductors in the AI era. Key strategies include the creation of the world’s largest semiconductor cluster and concentrated investment in NPU development. A project for the technological independence of defense semiconductors will also be launched.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that COMEUP 2025 has opened at Seoul COEX. COMEUP 2025 includes various programs such as exhibitions, conferences, IR, and business matching. Collaborations with Saudi AI company HUMAIN were discussed, and various conferences are scheduled.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups hosted the ‘Deep Tech Value-Up Partnership Day’ to share technology cooperation achievements between deep tech startups and large companies. Specific collaboration results between 11 large companies and 62 startups were presented at the event. Various startups achieved outcomes such as investment attraction and global market entry through collaboration.
