The Ministry of Justice decided to withdraw and waive state appeals for the Yeosu-Suncheon 10.19 incident victims’ compensation lawsuit. By the end of November, state appeals for 12 cases in the second trial involving 195 victims were withdrawn and for 22 cases in the first and second trials involving 339 victims were waived. During the action period, there were no cases in the third trial.

The Central Administrative Tribunal judged the refusal to pay simplified payments as unlawful. The tribunal considered the start date of the business and determined the business period exceeded six months. Worker ㄱ will receive unpaid wages of 8.26 million KRW through the tribunal ruling.

The Rural Development Administration has implemented a healing agricultural program for the elderly using wheat sprouts, which has shown improvements in mental health. After participating in the program, depression levels decreased by an average of 22.6% and happiness increased by 27%. Stress hormone levels also showed a decrease in men, but an increase in some activities for women.

The Uljin National Forest Management Office conducted joint wildfire response training to strengthen proactive response systems through cooperation with related agencies. The training involved around 30 participants and was held in Uljin’s Geunnam-myeon, simulating actual wildfire situations. The head of the Uljin National Forest Management Office emphasized the importance of repeated drills and cooperation between agencies and called for public interest.
