The event was attended by over 130 Buddhist leaders and representatives from major Buddhist sects.
Kim discussed the role of Buddhism in society and expressed hope for the event to unite the hearts of the people.

Following President Lee Jae-myung’s directive, the government has repatriated 107 Korean suspects involved in Cambodia scam crimes.
The government established a close cooperation system with Cambodia through diplomatic efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Intelligence Service, and the police.
Reports of Korean nationals being detained or missing in Cambodia dropped significantly from 93 in October to 17 in November.

Under President Lee Jae-myung’s directive, a comprehensive government response was launched against Cambodia scam crimes.
A total of 107 Korean suspects were repatriated from Cambodia, with 154 suspects apprehended locally.
The government’s efforts resulted in an over 80% reduction in reported victim cases.

President Lee Jae-myung met Pacific Islands foreign ministers attending the 6th Korea-Pacific Islands Foreign Ministers Meeting. President Lee emphasized the continued development of cooperative relations and proposed expanding collaboration for climate crisis mitigation. Niue Prime Minister Dalton Tagelagi thanked South Korea for supporting sustainable development in Pacific Islands through developmental cooperation.

First Lady Kim Hye-kyung hosted a kimchi-making event for the spouses of foreign ambassadors at the ‘Eaum’ Korean Cultural Space in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The event aimed to promote the globally recognized UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, kimjang, and foster cultural harmony. Participants experienced making kimchi and were introduced to various types of kimchi while learning about traditional Korean food culture.
