The Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment plans to support the distribution of 3.5 million heat pumps by 2035, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 5.18 million tons.
Priority will be given to areas without city gas, social welfare facilities, and facility farms.
The plan includes expanding distribution by sector, providing incentives, and improving related regulations.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced the passage of amendments to the Employment Insurance Act and the Collection Act in the Cabinet meeting.
The payment period for substitute workers for parental leave will be extended by up to one month, and the upper limit for parental leave reduction benefits will be increased.
Due to the minimum wage increase next year, the upper limit for job-seeking benefits will rise to 68,100 won per day, and the 4.5-day workweek support project can be entrusted to the Korea Labor Foundation.

Starting next year, plastic toys will be included in mandatory recycling.
The Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment announced the amendment to include plastic toys in the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system.
The recycling cost for toys is set at 343 won per kg, and toys with batteries must be disposed of through a separate collection system.

The cumulative donation amount for the Hometown Love Donation program has surpassed 100 billion won in its third year.
Donations increased significantly, especially for areas designated as special disaster zones due to wildfires.
Next year, the tax deduction rate will be expanded, leading to an expected increase in participation.

A system improvement is being promoted to allow local government recommended personnel to participate in government committees.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Government Legislation, and the Council of Governors of Korea have passed 20 presidential decree amendments.
This amendment is expected to enable local governments to participate more actively in major national policy decision-making processes.
