The National Tax Service (NTS) is offering a new content called ‘Help with Year-end Tax Settlement, Deduction Man’ for the 2025 year-end tax settlement, utilizing AI technology to explain tax consultation cases through a friendly character. This content is available in the form of 4-cut comics and shorts videos.
The Deduction Man content visualizes 12 common year-end tax settlement cases that employees often find confusing, such as medical expense deductions, parent dependency deductions, spouse childcare leave deductions, childbirth and childcare allowances, and monthly rent deductions. The 4-cut comic booklets are available at tax offices nationwide, and the shorts videos are posted on the NTS YouTube channel.
Additionally, when accessing the visible ARS (☎126), the connection address of the relevant materials is provided, which can be used as helpful resources during consultation wait times. An NTS official stated, ‘We plan to expand this service to areas of high taxpayer interest, such as comprehensive income tax, and will continue to strive to provide taxpayer-friendly consultation materials.’
