The Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled (Chairman Lee Jong-seong) held the ‘2025 Vocational Competency Development Training Performance Sharing Meeting’ on December 16 at the main auditorium of the agency’s headquarters. The event was organized to discover and share best practices derived from the vocational competency development training process and to improve the quality of field-centered training.
About 100 participants, including contest participants and training institution officials, attended the event to share training operation results and cases. Attendees reviewed excellent training operation models and improvement cases accumulated in the field and discussed ways to spread these practices to enhance training effectiveness. Additionally, awards were given in three categories: best practices, training methods and materials, and employment success stories.
In the training methods and materials category, Yoo Chan-young from Jeonnam Vocational Competency Development Institute received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award. In the employment success stories category, Lee Kyung-hyung from Daegu Vocational Competency Development Institute and Koo Mal-sook from KNT Vocational School each received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award. In the best practices category, Gyeonggi Southern Vocational Competency Development Institute, Seoul Digital Training Center, and Busan Developmental Disabilities Training Center were selected as the best institutions. Other institutions were also selected for excellence and encouragement awards in each category.
Chairman Lee Jong-seong stated that this training performance sharing meeting would be an opportunity to share verified best practices from the field and improve the quality of training. He added that the agency would continue to strengthen support for the dissemination of best practices and the enhancement of training quality, striving to improve the vocational capabilities and employment of people with disabilities.
