The Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation published the ‘2025 Work-Study Dual System Best Practices’ on the 16th. The work-study dual system is a program where companies hire young people as learning workers, provide long-term apprenticeship training, and the state evaluates their competencies to grant qualifications after training.
This best practices book was created to widely publicize the effectiveness and field applicability of the work-study dual system through actual cases of companies and learning workers who are exemplary in operating the system. A total of 26 best practices are included, featuring cases of resolving labor shortages and improving productivity, developing learning workers’ competencies, and career growth.
The corporation holds an annual best practices competition to promote the work-study dual system, and this year, 203 cases were submitted, with 58 selected as best practices. Winners of the grand prize and excellence awards in each category received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award, while winners of the excellence and encouragement awards received the Chairman’s Award from the corporation.
The corporation plans to distribute this year’s best practices book to branches, related organizations, and learning companies nationwide, and to actively support the spread of the work-study dual system by releasing it in e-book form on the work-study dual system website.
