Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun presented appointment certificates to newly appointed public officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Seohui Hall on December 16. The ceremony was attended by 11 newly appointed foreign affairs officers who completed the diplomatic candidate course last year, 26 third-grade public recruitment foreign affairs administrators, 3 seventh-grade public recruitment general officials, 3 ninth-grade public recruitment general officials, and 21 career competitive recruitment appointees.
The ceremony proceeded with Minister Cho presenting appointment certificates to representatives of the new employees, followed by a congratulatory speech and commemorative photo session. The event continued with a time of conversation and encouragement amidst congratulations from ministry executives, staff, and invited families.
In his congratulatory speech, Minister Cho warmly welcomed the new employees taking their first steps as public officials. He emphasized the importance of working with responsibility to ensure their decisions and judgments align with national and public interests, especially during this critical period of diplomatic and security challenges.
Additionally, Minister Cho encouraged the new employees to enhance their capabilities and expertise in international law, international politics, and economics, even amidst their busy schedules. He also urged them to strive for a balance between professional achievements and family happiness.
