[2025-12-16]Prime Minister Kim Min-seok Hosts K-Government Briefing Invited by Democratic Peace Council

Prime Minister Kim Min-seok will hold the fourth ‘K-Government Briefing’ on December 15 in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, targeting newly appointed members of the National Unification Advisory Council. This briefing is organized to commemorate the launch of the 22nd National Unification Advisory Council and will involve over 400 council members, including newly appointed advisors and local chapter heads from across the country, to explain the government’s achievements and future policy directions.

This briefing is significant as it takes place at a time when the National Unification Advisory Council is being newly established as a social dialogue body for peaceful inter-Korean relations under the people’s sovereignty government. Before the briefing, Prime Minister Kim will have a preliminary meeting with Senior Vice Chairman Lee Hae-chan and Secretary-General Bang Yong-seung to discuss the composition and future direction of the 22nd National Unification Advisory Council. He will then address questions from the advisors about the new government’s values and vision through a lecture and Q&A session.

Prime Minister Kim emphasized that the National Unification Advisory Council serves as the ‘ears of the people’s sovereignty government,’ listening to the people’s earnest wishes for peace and unification on the Korean Peninsula and reflecting them in policies. He urged the council to lay a solid foundation to achieve the goals of peaceful coexistence and joint growth through social dialogue.

This briefing is the fourth ‘K-Government Briefing’ following those held in Seoul, Gwangju, and Incheon, and will be broadcast live on KTV to allow more citizens to participate. The Prime Minister’s Office announced plans to actively listen to diverse opinions from various sectors of society by also broadcasting additional lectures requested by local governments, businesses, and universities.
