Prime Minister Kim Min-seok will hold the fourth ‘K-Government Briefing’ on December 15 in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, targeting newly appointed members of the National Unification Advisory Council. This briefing, organized to commemorate the launch of the 22nd National Unification Advisory Council, will see Prime Minister Kim explaining the government’s achievements and future policy directions to over 400 council members and officials from across the country.
This briefing is particularly significant as it takes place at a time when the National Unification Advisory Council is being reestablished as a social dialogue body for a peaceful inter-Korean relationship under the people’s sovereignty government. Before the briefing, Prime Minister Kim will have a preliminary meeting with key officials, including Vice Chairman Lee Hae-chan and Secretary-General Bang Yong-seung, to discuss the composition and future direction of the 22nd council. He will then address questions from the advisory members about the new government’s values and vision during the lecture and Q&A session.
Prime Minister Kim emphasized that the National Unification Advisory Council serves as the ‘ears of the people’s sovereignty government,’ reflecting the people’s earnest wishes for peace and unification on the Korean Peninsula in policies. He urged the council to lay a solid foundation to achieve the goals of peaceful coexistence and joint growth through social dialogue.
This briefing is the fourth ‘K-Government Briefing’ following events in Seoul, Gwangju, and Incheon, and will be broadcast live on KTV to allow broader public participation. The Prime Minister’s Office announced plans to actively listen to diverse opinions from various sectors of society by also broadcasting additional lectures requested by local governments, businesses, and universities.
