In addition, the policy direction and changing details of the 2026 Forest Products Export Promotion Project were shared, and strategies for expanding exports by item were discussed, including strengthening promotional support to increase overseas awareness of forest products, establishing overseas entry bases through overseas antenna shops, and linking production and export companies.
Park Eun-sik, Deputy Director of the Korea Forest Service, said, “Despite many difficulties in the global export environment this year, exports of major forest products such as Zanthoxylum, wild ginseng, and shiitake mushrooms have increased.” He added, “Next year, we will actively respond to the global economic slowdown, open export routes, and make every effort to diversify export channels by increasing awareness of forest products through item-specific promotions.”
