The Korea Fair Trade Commission (Chairman Joo Byung-ki, hereinafter ‘KFTC’) will hold the ’22nd Cartel Business Briefing’ to raise awareness of unfair joint actions (hereinafter ‘cartels’) by companies and business associations and to encourage them to prevent such actions on their own.
This briefing, which aims to introduce cartel-related laws, systems, case decisions, and major precedents, and to listen to the industry’s difficulties, will be held at 2 p.m. on December 16 (Tuesday) at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s conference room.
Considering that cartels are acts that illegally transfer wealth from victims to cartel executors and halt the functioning of the market economy by attempting illegal price increases or output adjustments, and that they are one of the main causes of soaring inflation, the significance of this cartel business briefing is substantial.
