Starting from midnight on the 18th, the toll fee for Incheon Bridge will be reduced by 63%. The toll for small cars (passenger cars) will be reduced from 5,500 won to 2,000 won, compact cars from 2,750 won to 1,000 won, medium-sized cars from 9,400 won to 3,500 won, and large vehicles from 12,200 won to 4,500 won.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 16th that it had signed an amended implementation agreement with Incheon Bridge Co., the operator of Incheon Bridge, to reduce the toll fee to alleviate the toll burden on the public. Following the toll reduction for the Incheon International Airport Expressway (also known as Yeongjong Bridge) in October 2023, both expressways accessing Incheon International Airport will now have reduced toll fees.
After the toll reduction for Yeongjong Bridge, the daily traffic volume reached 130,000 vehicles, resulting in a toll burden reduction effect of approximately 320 billion won. The toll reduction for Incheon Bridge is expected to save commuters 1.72 million won annually.
Kim Hong-rak, Director of Airport Policy at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, stated that the toll reduction for Incheon Bridge will alleviate the toll burden for people using Incheon International Airport and local residents who use the bridge daily. He added that efforts will be made to maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness for both Incheon Bridge and Yeongjong Bridge.
