A Construction Accident Investigation Committee has been formed and has begun operations in response to the collapse accident at the Gwangju Representative Library. The committee was established to thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident and to devise measures to prevent recurrence.

Currently, the committee has completed an initial investigation of the accident site and is in the process of collecting and analyzing additional data. Based on the investigation results, the committee will formulate specific measures to prevent recurrence and recommend them to relevant agencies.
The committee is also discussing support measures for the victims and plans to provide necessary assistance to the victims and their families. This accident serves as an opportunity to strengthen the safety management system at construction sites.
