[2025-12-15]Personal Information Committee’s 2030 Advisory Group Presents Youth Policy Proposal

The Personal Information Protection Commission held the ‘2nd Personal Information Commission 2030 Advisory Group Performance Presentation’ at the Government Complex Seoul on December 12. The event shared the main activities and achievements of the advisory group and presented the ‘Youth Policy Proposal’ prepared by each subcommittee. The proposals will be reviewed by experts and reflected in actual policies.

The first subcommittee presented a proposal on ‘Activating AI Privacy Risk Assessment.’ They emphasized the need to balance personal information protection and industrial competitiveness in the AI era by promoting voluntary participation of companies in AI privacy risk assessments, enhancing the assessment management model, and establishing and implementing AI governance.

The second subcommittee presented a proposal on ‘Strengthening Youth Data Rights through Improving Personal Information Collection and Usage Notification Services.’ They suggested developing and spreading a personal information usage dashboard that can be checked at any time, establishing a legal basis for a notification model that can be checked at any time through legal amendments, and improving culture through awareness programs for youth.

The third subcommittee presented a proposal on ‘Implementing Personal Information Literacy Education.’ They emphasized the need to bridge the gap in personal information awareness across generations, develop practical education content, and prepare customized education and support policies for future generations and digitally vulnerable groups.
