Kim Kyung-hyup, the head of the Overseas Koreans Agency, visited Hometown Village in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, where about 750 Sakhalin Koreans who have returned to Korea reside, on December 12 (Friday) to deliver year-end gifts. The event was attended by around 170 people, including Kwon Kyung-seok, president of the National Sakhalin Returnees Association, Joo Hoon-chun, president of the Ansan Hometown Village Sakhalin Returnees Elderly Association, local Sakhalin residents, and Heo Nam-seok, deputy mayor of Ansan.

Additionally, gifts were delivered to about 80 Sakhalin Koreans living in the Sakhalin Welfare Center in Incheon and the Goryeong County facility in North Gyeongsang Province.
