The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced the unified public notice of the 2026 export support project for SMEs, startups, and small business owners, amounting to 686.7 billion KRW on the 10th. This support project aims to enhance the trade environment and export competitiveness of SMEs and to build a growth ladder for global small businesses able to export their products overseas.
Key details of the export support project include allocating 150.2 billion KRW for export vouchers, expanding customs response and logistics support, diversifying export markets, and promoting overseas expansion. The export voucher has been increased by 22.6 billion KRW compared to 2025, and the customs response voucher has been revised to be more consumer-centered.
To support overseas expansion, Global Business Centers (GBC) will be installed in 22 locations across 14 countries, with Qingdao GBC set to operate from the first half of 2026. Additionally, efforts to strengthen responses to technical barriers to trade (TBT) include introducing deep professional education for NRTL certification and rapidly responding to Europe’s PPWR regulations. Joint entry projects between large and small enterprises will receive support up to 1.5 billion KRW.
A project to foster global small businesses turning their products export-oriented, known as the ‘Global Small Business (K-Small Business) Promotion Project,’ will be newly established, providing tailored overseas market support and consumer goods export-specialized education. Details of the public notice and support conditions can be checked through the website of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
