The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development announced on the 10th that they held the ‘2025 Startup Planner Growth Summit’ at the COEX in Seoul. This event was held as a side event of the country’s largest startup festival, ‘COMEUP’.
During this event, awards were given to outstanding startup planners who contributed to the growth of early-stage startups and venture investment companies with excellent financial stability. Further awards were presented to venture investment companies that faithfully adhered to voluntary regulations.
Notably, during this event, certificates of registration were awarded to Ewha Womans University Technology Holdings and two other companies, marking the 500th registered startup planner since the introduction of the startup planner system in 2016. Following this, special lectures on the global startup ecosystem and the relationship between AI and startup growth were conducted.
Kim Bong-deok, Venture Policy Officer of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated that this event is meaningful as it showcases the growth of the venture ecosystem and the milestone of surpassing 500 startup planners. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to leading innovation in the venture ecosystem through the startup planner system.
