The Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Labor Foundation held the ‘2025 Partnership and Non-discriminatory Workplace Awards Ceremony’ at the Luna Miele Grand Ballroom in Seoul. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Kwon Chang-jun, Secretary General of the Korea Labor Foundation Park Jong-pil, and representatives from 20 companies that excelled in improving employment structures and reducing discrimination.

SK Microworks Co., Ltd. has created a growth structure where both the primary and subcontracted companies can thrive together by securing employment for subcontractor workers even when subcontractor companies are replaced, and sharing performance bonuses and welfare benefits. They also consider annual wage increases in contract prices and distribute productivity improvement contributions annually.

BMW Financial Services Korea Co., Ltd. grants performance bonuses to temporary and dispatched workers under the same conditions as regular employees. They have introduced Family Day, which allows for one paid leave day per month, and remote work twice a week for all workers. They also conduct workshops on ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ to build an organizational culture that prevents discrimination.

Deputy Minister Kwon emphasized that all labor should be respected regardless of employment type and that true growth is possible when workplace rights are protected. He stated that the government would strengthen support for companies to establish the principle of equal pay for work of equal value and promote regular employment practices.
