The Ministry of SMEs and Startups hosted the ‘1st Manufacturing AI Solution Pitching Day’ at COEX to promote the adoption of AI by small and medium manufacturing enterprises. The event was held in connection with ‘COMEUP 2025,’ Korea’s largest global startup festival, and was attended by around 150 people.
In October, the ministry conducted a competition to discover solutions that apply AI technology to all aspects of business activities of small and medium manufacturing enterprises, receiving a total of 152 solutions. There was a high competition rate of 38 to 1 for the final four solutions to be selected.
The selection process consisted of three stages, with the final event ‘Pitching Day’ featuring the top 10 companies that passed the initial evaluations. Ultimately, four outstanding solutions were selected, with the grand prize awarded to DoubleT in the startup category and Sizl in the global leap category.
The four companies selected for outstanding solutions received commendations and prizes from the minister. Additionally, the 101 solutions that passed the first evaluation will be included in a promotional booklet and recommended as candidate companies for the ministry’s Next Unicorn Project in 2026, gaining opportunities for investment attraction.
