At the 2025 ‘National Policy Video & Design Contest,’ the team led by Kang Beom-cheol from the Korea Railway Industry Association won the top prize for their video ‘New Korea!’ The video, themed on the 57th national policy task—expanding transport innovation infrastructure—featured highways, GTX trains, and LCC flights in a dynamic music video format. By integrating rap and AI-generated music, the team delivered policy messages in an engaging and accessible way. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the contest to communicate policies through cultural content rather than traditional explanations.

The contest ran from September 19 to October 26, 2025, accepting entries in both video and design categories. A total of 205 entries (91 videos and 114 designs) were submitted, with 15 videos and 15 designs selected as winners. The awards ceremony was held on December 8, 2025. The grand prize in the video category went to a work about creating a child-friendly environment, while the design grand prize was awarded to ‘Taeguk Patchwork, Connecting Korea’s Harmony and Hope.’ Kang’s team was praised for creatively visualizing transport policies using various angles and music.

In interviews, Kang Beom-cheol explained that the team aimed to make policy content entertaining and easy to understand, choosing the music video format to attract viewers. He highlighted the policy goal of ‘realizing transport welfare for all citizens,’ expressing hope that improved infrastructure would reach even remote areas. The team used drones to capture transport infrastructure across Korea, facing challenges such as flocks of pigeons attacking their drone at Osong Station. Collaboration and internal support were key to their success.
