The Ministry of Health and Welfare held an expert meeting on January 9 to discuss recent trends and future prospects in the foreign exchange market.
During the meeting, foreign exchange market experts presented on structural changes in the market from a macroeconomic perspective and exchanged opinions with officials from the Ministry and the National Pension Service on the impact of the foreign exchange market on the National Pension Fund.
Lee Se-ran, the First Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, stated that the foreign exchange market meeting was organized to share opinions on the structural impact of changes in the domestic and international macroeconomic environment on the foreign exchange market and to discuss the direction of the National Pension Fund’s management considering these changes.
He added that they will strive to respond promptly to changing market conditions to support the stable retirement of the people.
