The National AI Strategy Committee has unveiled an action plan to achieve the world’s No. 1 position in Physical AI by 2030. The strategy focuses on ‘execution’ at the pan-ministerial level, including expanding data centers and accelerating AI transformation (AX) in industries with strengths.
The Presidential National AI Strategy Committee held a press conference on the 15th to commemorate the 100th day of the committee’s launch, explaining the committee’s major achievements and the draft AI action plan. The committee announced that it would collect opinions from various sectors from the 16th to January 4th next year. The conference was attended by Vice Chairman Lim Moon-young, eight subcommittee chairmen, and five TF leaders.
The committee, launched on September 8th, is the nation’s top AI strategy organization and approved the direction of the AI action plan at its first plenary meeting. Subsequently, the draft AI action plan, containing 98 tasks, was prepared through intensive discussions and reviews by subcommittees and TFs composed of private experts.
The committee will collect opinions by publishing the draft AI action plan on its website for 20 days and will also gather feedback from academia, industry, research institutions, and civil society. The committee plans to finalize the AI action plan at its second plenary meeting after incorporating the feedback.
