A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the ‘Daejang-Hongdae Metropolitan Railway,’ which is expected to open the future of the western metropolitan area. This railway is anticipated to alleviate traffic congestion in the western metropolitan area and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.
The Daejang-Hongdae Metropolitan Railway spans a total length of 20.8km, connecting Daejang-dong to Hongdae Entrance. The railway includes a total of 12 stations and is expected to significantly reduce the commuting time for residents in the western metropolitan area once completed.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by several officials, including the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, who delivered congratulatory speeches. They emphasized that this project would greatly aid regional development.
The railway aims to be completed by 2028, and upon completion, it is expected to greatly improve the transportation environment in the western metropolitan area.
