[2025-12-15]Ministry of Agriculture to Hold Compliment Competition

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Song Mi-ryeong, hereinafter referred to as ‘MAFRA’) announced that it will hold a commendation contest for exemplary and praiseworthy employees of MAFRA and related organizations. This contest aims to actively discover and reward employees who have quietly dedicated themselves and delivered warm impressions to the public. Through this, the ministry plans to invigorate the public service community and enhance public satisfaction and trust in agricultural and food administration.

This contest was prepared to break away from the existing standardized reward methods and to discover practical exemplary cases that the public can empathize with and colleagues can recognize. The key elements include establishing a public-led recommendation channel, continuously discovering and awarding exemplary cases, and introducing an integrated final round. MAFRA has installed various ‘public recommendation channels’ to continuously discover touching cases from the field.

The collected cases will be rewarded through two newly established contests. First, the ‘Touching Administration Four-Cut’ is held bimonthly and discovers exemplary cases covering the entire public and private sectors, including proactive administration, good deeds, and volunteer work. Second, the ‘MAFRA Commendation World Cup’ is a biannual ‘champion of champions’ contest.

Winners of the ‘MAFRA Commendation World Cup’ will receive a ministerial award, special promotions, top-grade performance bonuses, and other preferential treatments and prizes to boost employee morale. The first ‘Touching Administration Four-Cut’ and ‘MAFRA Commendation World Cup’ will select the final winners at the end of December after case submissions and evaluations. MAFRA plans to actively promote the selected exemplary cases through various content formats both internally and externally.
