Minister Song Mi-ryeong of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs held the ‘Future of Agriculture, Tomorrow of Youth’ 2025 Young Farmers Meeting on December 12 to celebrate the challenges and growth of young farmers and respond to the vivid voices from the agricultural field.
This meeting marked the conclusion of the activities of the 2nd 2030 Advisory Group, which was active throughout 2025, and announced the start of the newly appointed 3rd 2030 Advisory Group. Additionally, the Minister awarded the Minister’s Prize to the young farmers who won the grand prize in the ‘2025 Young Farmers Farming Settlement Best Practices Essay Contest’ and the team ‘The leaf’ that won the grand prize in the regional-based young farmers network team project.
Minister Song listened to the difficulties faced by young farmers in various fields, discussed policy suggestions, and the direction of youth farming promotion policies.
Minister Song emphasized the importance of the field by stating, ‘Your valuable opinions will greatly help in refining future policies,’ and promised to spare no support so that the future of young farmers, who are the future of agriculture, can be expected.
